Have I mentioned that I love family photography? I think it is so very important to have family portraits done. Just wanted to share a family session from the summer. They were here on vacation and even with a time change the kids were so amazingly sweet and happy! <3

Aren’t they just the sweetest brother and sister duo ever? It’s always so fun to watch your clients grow! I photographed big brother, “J” when he was a newborn and he has grown to be the cutest, smartest toddler! Seriously, I think he might be a genius. And of course meeting the newest member of the family baby, “T” was a special treat as well. She was soo good, she even slept through being kissed and loved on by big brother.

This family was so sweet and adorable–how did I get so lucky?! Mom is totally into photography and I love how much she values it. She wrote that it was the “art that fills their home” and I love that! I also think it’s awesome that she saw the need to include herself in her art. Too often women (myself included) don’t want to get in front of the camera but we need too. After all, “In twenty years you’ll look back at photos of yourself and recall in a way you can’t grasp now how much possibility lay before you and how fabulous you really looked.” – Mary Schmich

Summer + Beach + Adorable Family = One Happy Photographer! I really *love* taking family portraits. There is something so special and important about capturing the love and bond that a family has. I know I might be a little biased, but I think family sessions are more important than any other type of session. Aaron Siskind summed it up best when he said, “Photography is a way of feeling, of touching, of loving. What you have caught on film is captured forever…It remembers little things, long after you have forgotten everything.”
